Our rooms

Every room in the Hotel Bundschuh is as individual as you are. You won’t find any run-of-the-mill, mass-produced furniture here. Instead, the rooms are tastefully furnished with attractive, handcrafted furniture and fittings in wood, granite and glass, combined with exclusive fabrics. We offer 38 carefully styled rooms with furnishings of the highest quality, each with its own en suite bath/shower and WC, telephone, LCD-TV, radio, minibar and WiFi. Many rooms also have their own balcony or sun terrace. A lift helps ensure that rooms on upper floors are also easily accessible.

Economy single room

Our Economy Single rooms offer all you need to enjoy your stay - from TV to WiFi access. The price is the only thing about the room that is small!

Standard Single Rooms

Our Standard Single rooms are generous in size and boast their own mini-bar. Some also have a balcony or their own sun terrace. Many of these rooms have a queen-size bed.

Standard double room

Double the pleasure - our Standard Double rooms are just as comfortable as our Standard Singles, except that they offer even more space and are furnished with double beds. These can be pushed apart in many of the rooms if you prefer twin beds.

Comfort double room

Our Comfort Double rooms are almost like suites. Most have their own sitting area/sofa and some of them also have larger bathrooms. The sofas can easily be pulled out to give the room a third bed where required. We recommend these rooms particularly if you are staying for a longer period.

Located in the heart of Lohr, the Hotel Bundschuh is the ideal starting point for discovering the beauty of the Spessart region – whether you are on foot, on a bike, in the car, or using public transport. Experience the seemingly endless forests for yourself as you tramp through the countryside, investigate some of the numerous cycle tracks, or take in a number of fascinating castles, palaces and museums on a drive through this attractive region. Not to be forgotten is of course the River Main with all the possibilities it has to offer as it meanders through a picturesque landscape. Or what about a bit of shopping as you stroll down Lohr’s high street, looking into some of the many diverse boutiques and shops? Culture, culinary specialities or shopping – there is all sorts to discover, and the choice is yours!

Lohr and the Spessart region have long since ceased to be the insiders’ tip they once were among cycling fans. Extremely popular with cyclists of all kinds, there can be few other regions in Germany able to offer more varied possibilities - whether you are planning a gentle group tour along the River Main, past idyllic villages and local landmarks, or you are an ambitious mountain-biker on the look-out for the ultimate challenge in the forests of the Spessart hills.

The Hotel Bundschuh is the three-star guesthouse in the centre of Lohr. It offers a unique family atmosphere and has been designated “very good” on Customer Alliance, the online customer analysis portal. A family-run hotel now in its third generation, the Hotel Bundschuh offers a home from home, not only for business travellers, but also for holiday-makers hoping simply to relax, or for keen sports enthusiasts looking for a challenge. It offers all the important extras business travellers need, such as the possibility of online booking, telephones, TVs, WiFi and parking facilities. Most of the rooms also have a mini-bar and a balcony or terrace. Other guests book single or double rooms in the Hotel Bundschuh simply in order to enjoy the hotel’s private garden, to explore the birth-place of Snow White, or to discover the beauty of the Spessart region for themselves as they hike or go Nordic walking in the surrounding forests and countryside. The Hotel Bundschuh has its own covered cycle sheds for the benefit of guests on cycling holidays, and can also organise guided cycling tours for you if required. And if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, you can always book a room in our separate Jugendstil (Art Nouveau-style) villa, with its unique combination of traditional hospitality, modern amenities and idyllic surroundings.
