A visit to Lohr is well worth it just for the beauty of the town and countryside. But there are also all sorts of exciting and highly varied events to attract visitors. These might be concerts, sports events, folkloric displays, cultural events or simply a trip to the cinema. The events are distributed evenly throughout the year, and there is something to suit all tastes on the calendar – events for young and old, events for active participation, or events simply to enjoy.

The "Stadthalle" – Lohr’s civic hall and latest attraction
One particularly special event venue in Lohr is the “Stadthalle” - the town’s new civic hall, of impressive architectural interest in itself. All sorts of events starring renowned artists take place here all year round. These include rock and pop concerts, ballet performances, classical concerts and cabaret. The Stadthalle is just a fifteen minute walk from the Hotel Bundschuh. In the evenings in particular, it is a pleasant walk through the old town centre. And if you prefer to take it even easier, a taxi will take you there for €6.
The “Alte Turnhalle” cultural venue
Are you planning to celebrate a wedding, a corporate event or an anniversary in Lohr? Just 100 metres from the Hotel Bundschuh you will find the “Alte Turnhalle”, or “Old Gym”, now refurbished as a hall for cultural events. With its generous outdoor area it offers the ideal conditions for a private celebration. Its attractive mixture of historic brickwork and modern architecture provides space for up to 200 guests and it is equipped with all the technology you are ever likely to need for your event. The equipment includes a large stage measuring three by six metres, which can be raised or sunk to be flush with the floor as you wish. A mobile stage measuring 3m x 6m, a concert-standard music system, concert-standard lighting, a power current connection, a beamer, a slide projector, an overhead projector, ISDN, WiFi, a screen, flipchart, microphone, CD-player, speaker’s lectern and a backstage area with changing room and artists’ cloakroom.

Our rooms
Every room in the Hotel Bundschuh is as individual as you are. You won’t find any run-of-the-mill, mass-produced furniture here. Instead, the rooms are tastefully furnished with attractive, handcrafted furniture and fittings in wood, granite and glass, combined with exclusive fabrics. We offer 38 carefully styled rooms with furnishings of the highest quality, each with its own en suite bath/shower and WC, telephone, LCD-TV, radio, minibar and WiFi. Many rooms also have their own balcony or sun terrace. A lift helps ensure that rooms on upper floors are also easily accessible.
